H. Benjamin Larman, Ph.D.

Benjamin Larman, Ph.D., directs the Laboratory of Precision Immunology, located within the Pathology Department at Johns Hopkins. The laboratory develops and deploys high throughput technologies to study the human immune system in health and disease. Examples include phage display of synthetic peptidome libraries for comprehensive, quantitative antibody profiling, and multiplexed RNA quantification techniques for gene expression analysis, characterization of immune receptor repertoires, and pathogen detection. Dr. Larman earned his B.S. in Engineering Physics and Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He then obtained a Ph.D. from Harvard-MIT’s Division of Health Sciences & Technology, which was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at The Scripps Research Institute.
